JibbaJabba, that was a pretty ignorant thing to say. To say that we're sucking the dicks of snowboarders because we respect what they are doing is simply false. It's people like you, and comments like that, that give skiing a bad name in the eyes of others.

jibbajabba has got it right. there's a difference between respecting snowboarding and saying 'Snowboarding OWNS skiing' and the like. if you like it so much, go take it up and join snowboarder.com or whatever. snowboarding is a sick sport, but I'm not gonna give them anymore respect than they give us. and face it, the vast majority of boarders don't respect skiers. so have a little pride in your sport.

this is what it comes down to for me...
snowboarding has sweet stuff (like fronstide boardslides)
skiing has sweet stuff (corked spins, flatspins)
i'm not sucking up if i think a fronstide boardslide looks better than a skier doing the same rail...

i hafta say, like most of the good skiers, the good snowboarder respect skiers. i have respect for the good boarders and i like to ride with the good ones cuz they help me progress
i ride a 153 cuz im tiny, not cuz im gay. next year im getting a 165 or 169

Dude, I respect snowboarding, just like I respect skateboarding, just like I respect surfing and many other action sports. No one here is saying which is the best sport, only that there are a bunch of cool stuff that each sport has over the other. And to tell you the truth, anyone who says that skiing is the best port in the world is completely ignorant.

Snowboarding rules, I consider snowboarding and skiing basically the same sport, cause it is in my opinion. There so much the same. It's the turdburgulers like above who cause the shit between skiers and boarders, I mean if I was a snowboarder, I would laugh at the majority of skiers too, leave the park, go ski a blue square, the majority of skiers are funny.

I have to say i have a lot of respect for those boarders that really work hard and go big. they tend to be the ones who respect skiiers. However i cannot stand the ignorant boaders who suck ass and feel they have to hate skiiers just for that reason, that they are skiiers and not boarders.

well of course you can respect snowboarding and i do. I'm just saying it seems like the whole ski scene is trying to get the approval of snowboarders and they support snowboard shit just as much or more than skiing shit, such as putting mack dawg trailers on ns. I want to see skiing become its own independent sport, in no way does that mean disrespect snowboarders.

um when did I say that? like I did say, snowboarding is a sick sport. it is possible to like both skiing and boarding. I'm saying if you think snowboarding is so much better than skiing, go fucking buy a board then. I for one, think skiing is pretty cool
