I stabbed my leg

so i was messing around with my friends knife and accidentally stuck it in like 1-2 cm into my leg. i havent told my parents. i don't know if i should because i dont know if it needs stitches. i but butterfly bandages on then a big band aid. so do you think i should tell them? it hurts pretty bad. my legs are already sore from soccer. i have soccer tommorow 4 hours a day. should i go?

u should probebly tell them, because 2 cm is pretty deep.
how long is the cut? and r they gonna be all pissed that u were using a knife or something

Stitches are expensive, it's all about the sewing needles and fishing line. Just keep it clean and you should be ok as long as it stops bleeding and doesn't turn green.

it hurts when you stab yourself, fact of life. you either suck it up, keep a dressing on it and make sure it doesn't get infected or you tell your rents and face what's coming to you.

You don't need stitches. I had put a knife in my hand all the way to the thumb bone or some shit and I never did anything but elevate it and bandage it.

don't put salt on it like that guy said above unless you really are dumb. It's up to you if you want to tell your parents, but if you're playing soccer for 4 hours tomorrow that's gonna hurt like a bitch. 2 cm most likely won't need stitches if you clean it out on your own with peroxide and stuff and keep a butterfly bandage on it good at all times. Be sure to tell your coach though at soccer because you could be in a lot of pain from that little cut after running 4 hours

reminds me of what i did a few years ago. i was using a hedge trimmer to cut down some light brush on a hill. after i used it for a while i put my arm down because i was looking at what to do next, and i still had the trigger on and it went into my leg. so i had two sharp blades going back and forth cutting into my leg just above my knee. i made a huge gash and hurt like a bitch. but i just clamped on my jaw to not yell. i didnt wanna say anything because i was working with my friend and my dad, and my dad said to be careful with it and i replied "i'm not stupid". so after about a minute or two i said, "i'm thirsty, let's go get something to drink" and i proceeded to run as fast as i could to check it out. i had blood all over my leg. when they came up after me i showed them it and said i slid down the hill earlier and cut my leg. the scar is still there and i probably should have got a couple stitches but oh well, that's what u get for being retarded. u'll probably be fine

dude last week i was doing a double back flip into my friends pool and the diving board spring broke and it shot me up instead of out and i landed back on it upside down... yeah im gay hahaha but i needed 5 stitches inside my head and 9 on the outside and i was thinking the same thing as you, my friends said i needed stitches but i was like "no fuck that its fine", it turned out for the better by getting stitches it healed completly in 6 days... if you get stitches it will heal faster and be healthier

ya man i got a cut right down my finger about a week ago that was mad bad, i actualy did need stiches cuz i saw the doctor for a phisical like 4 days after but i just bandaided it up real nic and such and it was fine, neosporine and proxide helps alot.
