i'd go with PE's you can just do more, but to each his own
as far as k2's go i had some edges rip out and they wouldn't replace them, and no it wasn't from rail damage so don't even bring that up, also k2's have a tendency to snap right behind the binding plate

I have them and I absolutly love them, and like i beat them...and they really dont break one bit...like really...i have had no problems...and as a mountain ski they are great and for park they are just impecible
Definetly a good buy and well worth your money...and like i said i have never had any problems so i wouldnt know about the warrentee things

if you call them up or email them about it...they'll take care of you. theyve always been really good about warranties on their skis

That is absolutely incorrect. I had a pair of 05/06 PEs and the one ski delaminated directly below the last rivet. But on the topic of warranty, it was obvious it wasn't my fault, so they took them back and sent me the next years model.

If your warranty is legit and it fits within the standard warranty criteria they will replace them...just as any other ski mfg will.

yeah i snapped my PEs and they check for water damage etc to make sure it is a proper snap from general rideing and depending on what they find they will warrantee it but they check it real good and proper

Yeah, they are good with warranties as long as its legitimate. I mean, I had rail damage on mine, a few cracked edges, but it was obvious that the rail damage had nothing to do with the delamination, so they took them back.

thats not the nose, and it is right next to the mounting plate, it's the only place i've ever seen k2's break, but they tend not to warantee it

They are excellent with warrenty. I would also say that if you can't get them warrentied through a shoop, find a rep, or send them in yourself, because some shops will give you the shitty "They won't warrenty, so we won't send htem for you" shit.
Just send them with a personal, professional note explaining the nature of a defect. Especially Delam
