1080 foil and xwave 8 free
before i kick this off i am saying that i searched but all i could find was some arguments and i couldnt find a staright answer. one person says theyre great all mtn. some say theyre too sloppy all mtn.
so, im 5'8'' and about 130 pounds. i like to ski pow and im getting mroe into park. i just tried on some xwave 8 frees in store and they were very comfortable but felt stiff. the 1080 foils seemed a good alternative as they arent as stiff. ive heard from some people the 1080's are too lsoppy but then again i dont know theyre weight or what they ski. i was thinking they would be good for me since im light and probably wont overflex them. am i right or completely off? suggestions would be helpfull. if your going to comment on the boots if you've tried them, state how much you weigh etc so i can compare o myself.
ok well i have the 1080s that came before the foils, which have a flex index of 85 just like the foils. i am 5'6 125 lbs, and they were awesome for park and allmountain. definately not floppy. good medium flex thats great for park and kills all mtn too. go for those in my opinion
i have the same ones as him^ and they are perfect, i ride squaw and am 180lbs 5'9" and they are the only boot i rock, im gettin the 07 foils for sure

x-wave shell are the most comfortable boot i have had on... honestly i see no point to the xwave8 tho.. because if u want something soft and forgiving go for the foil.. that way u get the shock absorber and the extra tech the foil has to offer.. however, if u want something a bit stiffer thatll be better at all mountain, the x-wave 8 will be to soft anyways... so u wood need at least the 10..
however, that being said ur a pretty light guy so bottom line go with the 1080.. you will like it and ur light enough to use it everywhere.. unless u want a stiffer boot

looks like its going to be the 1080 foils. thanks for all the info, it made my decision much easier since you guys actually put down your weight and what you ride. thanks.
