Derek Spong Injury

The other thread didn't go into much detail so i guess here it is
Dspong was at booters bash in california shooting with rage films. apparantly yesterday there was a big gap and he was going to gunnea it. he came up short breaking 3 or 4 ribs, did something to his spleen (his bro said they wern't sure)He also ripped 2 out of 3 layers of the aorta...for those of you that don't know what that is, its the pump to your heart and basically if you tear all 3 your dead. Dspong had heart surgery yesterday, I'm not exactly sure what Evan (his bro) told me if there was a 90% chance of him being paralyzed, i was in to much shock to even remember. I was lucky enough to talk to derek not long after he got out of surgery and he sounded great for the condition's he was in.

Dspong, your the man bro, stay strong!

I'm hopeing i'll talk to him again tonight so i can give another little update. wish him the best!

Shit man thats terrible news. I think ive seen you guys killin it at stevens pass. I was hittin the tables, feelin good about myself until I saw a group of 3 skiers just tear shit up. I think it was you guys, haha.

Ill see ya guys on the slopes next season im sure of it, including dsprong.

UPDATE: Derek pooped!! haha. first time since it happend. he called me this morning just to tell me how it was. he said thats good that he did it cause they wern't going to let him out of the hospital. he gets out of the hospital sunday i believe

went and saw the kid tonight. he finally got home. He seriosly looks great. if I didn't know what all happend I would have thought he was just sick cause his voice but other than that hes up around walking and everything. kids going to recover, and come back next season and just kill everything. keep your eyes out for this kid, and make sure you check him out in rage films

so just thought i'de give you guys another update. if you didn't know what happend to him and you were hanging out with him you would have no idea that he had heart surgery or any of that shit. Next year he isn't suppose to be hitting any jumps or rails but he'll still be up there shredding the pow
