you kids are all such park rats.. it depends on what you are doing, if its a gap jump like chads, i would suggest going way to fast than casing. but if its a park jump i would rather case cuz they just aren't that big.
so its all relative
i dont remember if i posted in this so...
id rather over shoot, if you think about casing is landing on almost perfectly flat ground, adn overshooting ( for those of us who dont live in the midwest) your landing on at least a little bit of a slope. and knuckeling hurts like a bitch
well it depends what kind of jump it is if its like a gap then overshooting is better cause u dont want to pull a tanner and if its like a table casing is better cause u dont want to pull a dumont
id say completely depends on the jump...casing is fucked though, coz people laugh whilst you are in pain. overshooting, still get nailed but people watching just say damn..
if it was a 20 footer, overshooting definitely, if theres a step up and you case it hurts a lot more, if it was like chads gap or pyramid then def casing, but just on step downs, overshooting definitely because you have more speed and youre falling down at a faster rate
it all depends on how hard you go like over shoot the landing by 20 ft or case 5ft before the knuckle. personally i find if you over shhot big on a kicker it hurts way more
I overshot landing switch into the compression after the landing, not fun! torn ankle ligaments. With hitting the tabletop at least your not going as fast.
both of em suck
depending on how you fall overshooting it can hurt worse or in a different part
but casing can ruin your weekend
i hate it more i think
the first big jump i hit had about a 20 ft tabletop and my freind said i landed about 15 farther than the bottem of the landing.....
but casing just fuckin' sucks too
I dont have a ton of park experience...but ive noticed that its scary stuff when you fly off a jump and can see the whole resort below you as you fly over the landing area. Basically my thought was "wow...now would be a good time to invest in a helmet."
haha, yeh that hurts big time if you screw it up because your body is ready to land but theres nothing there, then when you do land you catch a edge.(iv done that loads)
casing switch just sucks thats wat happend to me and i kneed myself in the face and i was bleeding alot
.but overshooting sucks so much i over shoot a jump by about 15 20 feet and i couldnt ski for a week
