Yo the one whole aspect of a slopestyle course is to choose your hits, you cant just have a park that lets every little joey in it hop off the in run of every rail. Stinger is workin out better then I have ever imagined and anyone that knows how to ski or ride can see that Sundown has one of the sickest parks in the east right now.
what does everyone look like? im up there all the time and have probobly seen just about all of you before. I have the red scratches with the chick on them. im also an instructtor.
alright just to let u no i wasnt whinning about the park, i was just sayin its not flowing, i like all the features and there setups just not the positioning necasarily...and i have last yrs chronics, and a grey puffy, im there pretty much everyday
I think its great that you guys all actually know eachother and still talk internet shit like it means something. haha, im gonna throw ice chunks at you all!!! haha.
they're making us some more snow so we can get the rainbow open for the weekend, the c-box plastic is getting replaced today, and next after that is to evaluate the amount of snow given to us by the dirty rotten snowmakers. I'm thinking of extending table #1 by 10 feet, and putting the trapazoid on it to skiers left. Then, where the A-box is, convert that to table #2 at about 35 feet and set the box up to skiers left of that.
then after that, we need to find a spot for the flat down, the small flat down, the 20 footer and the mini rainbow... then, and only then, am I even going to start thinking about constructing new features such as a 4 foot tall butter box, a 4 foot tall flat bar, a 48 foot down flat down, and a plethura of flat boxes and flat rails, including a kicker rail.
in other news, jed stepped it up on you yesterday ryan, his second hit he 450'd the bannana rail and brought it into the flat down flat. pretty sweet man.
for all you bitches who overshot the table, you say the set up is retarded. you're the retarded one. don't you know you're to ride through the park before hittin the shit to check out the distances and whatnot. for a skier who has common sense and is willing to do some pretty tight shit the set up is fine. for all you other bitches, learn how to ride.
The word "gunbarrel" is forever washed from our memory. haha the park will never be there again, no matter how sick, or perfect it was...But stinger is workin out fine.
they have some of the smaller rails over on the beginner part of the mountain. 12' flat, 16' flat, flat down flat box, and butter box. if they really need space for the rails, i think they should put them there
ooo yea good idea...there are lots of other good mts. around. oo yea and sundown deff has the money for that. good thing we got some good thinkers on this website. thnks guys
i mean there is enough core park skiers and boarders @ sundown. convert one of the beginning trails into a rail garden or sumthin. that would be so cool though. SUNUP resort @ Ski Sundown, a skier's playground.
project expansion begins in a year or two, i forget which... its all in the works. and no, there are not enough freeskiers in the area to support a park only mtn
my cousins live like 1/2 a mile down the road and as soon as my clavicle heals im going. me and my mom drove by today but i couldn't see it well but i hope its as good as it sounds. I only went once last year, whats up with the german dude on the quad yelling at people to put the bar down?
Yesterday was one of the sickest day sessions at Sundown in awhile. All you haters who say that the rainbow cant be followed by the table are scared, the rainbow, to table, to dip or a-box is one of the sickest flows on the east coast right now. Sundown is nastayyy, jus hope this rain doesnt ruin everything...
It was mad nice monday night. Im going on wednesday, thursday and saturday hopefully it will stay nice. Also I heard theres plans on a mt. bike park for in the summer, The might expand for that, not sure. That be cool if the cleared out the skiers left of gunny.
its was nice tuesday night, but not "mad" nice. i didnt take one park run though, even though riding up the lift the booter looks 10x's better. bigger. the jib session this weekend is looking sickkk
sundown was dope today...i just rocked a garbage bag, but no 1 was there and shit was nice and soft...the only thing is rails were sticky, tmrw will b sik
i must give madd props to jared and the whole sundown crew, the park set up rivaled those of bigger east coast mountains. the set up was sick especially for the not so great conditions we have had lately. and the rainbow rail is rediculous!
on that little table? jeez. what is that kids full name? ive heard good things about his jibbing.
if they need volunteers to help clear trees and stuff in the summer, ill do it for free (and a season pass). i really think a new trail would benefit our park a ton.
even though rails are cool and all this shit, they still need more jumps, its sad that 2 years ago i was more confident in my jumping skills then today
