We used to have indoor mountain here, apparently it was the first ever indoor snow centre (opened in 1987). It shut down a few years back and now is just an ice arena. I thought there was a big one somewhere in Japan?
New Jersey, too, is experiencing a building boom. The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority approved a $1.3 billion entertainment, office, and retail project in East Rutherford, known as Xanadu, last year. The project will fill nearly 5 million square feet around Continental Arena and will feature a 520-room hotel with conference facilities, an indoor ski slope, an extreme sports park, a spa, an indoor car-racing venue, a culinary institute, and an 8,000-seat minor league ballpark.
