New Binding Safety?
So with the discontinuation of the Line bindings... what is the next safest binding on the market in terms of knees and ACL tearing? and even if the line binding isnt discontinued... what is the next safest binding?

Would have been the look pivot line or the rossi axial line (same thing), but they no longer have the heel peice that pivots, so who knows.
where did you hear the LINE binding was discountinued? its in the new 05-06 gear guides. and I'd say that LOOKs are the way to go they made improvements for the 05-06s but i've always had good experiences with them
poach: To take or appropriate something unfairly or illegally (you know what I'm talking about)
lines are the safest by far as far as leg injuries they will break long before you have a chance to crash!
with gas prices so expensive and mexicans so cheap i think i am going to start riding a mexican to work!
they still will have it for p14 and p18 so id say just get that
salomon s711 bindings...never steered me wrong...
Newschoolers...who have you hated on today?
no need a "safe" binding. what you need is a binding that is haaaaard. scratch 140. if you fall and get injuredit's your fault. all you need is a binding you can rely on when you go 80 kph in deep powder or when you land a 10 meters high cliff

DEATH TO SNOWBOARD-ERS!!
we need bindings like line reactor where there's inserts in the skis and we can mount em' up ourselves without having to explain to an old man what center mounted means.

Marker claims to have "The safest bindings in the world", but all bindings are safe. If you fall certain ways at certain speeds you'll get hurt pretty much no matter what brand you use, with the exception of the Line bindings which are safer. My opinion on the Line bindings is that, although they are safer, they are too heavy, sit you up too high (especially if you use the Freedom Plate on other skis), and break too easily. I'll take the one in a hundred risk with traditional bindings to be confortable on the snow.

Scratch174, thank you.
i've always thought of look to be the safest in my mind but tyrollia would be a safe bet as well

That was sort of my point. Markers are known to be bad for freeskiing.
