anyone else think that people put way to much importance on the ski and the gear a person has? i think it makes a small difference, but overall the skier makes the skier the skis dont make the skier...
last I heard, the harvey hopped on board of a caravan that was trekking through the egyptian sands. Only bringing with him a spork, cottage cheese, and his pet mongoose, he set off into throught the saharas. They say every once in a full moon, if you're quiet enough, that you can hear his prebuscent chuckle whistling in the winds.-GhostDragon
I don't think theres anything wrong with being caught up in the gear people have, but if your ski day is "ruined" or something cause the jacket you're using for that one day isn't cool than that is gay.
It doesnt really matter what you wear on the hill, in my opinion. If you can throw down, then your shibby, if you try, your shibby, but if you just ski through the park all day, wearing the latest and greatest fashions, and not hitting anything or even trying, then your not shibby.
Like a virgin on promnight!
please pardon the cacography.
I dunno, in my opinion if you wear an oufit that's totally gay you obviously won't look good - no matter how much skill you have... and not looking good when you throw down is pretty much gunna wreck everything.
I think there is a right tool for the right job, but on the flipside of that coin I also believe a good skier will ski any ski well. But that perfect ski that meshes with your preference and riding style can compliment your skiing a lot.
