^ no it hasnt been in a teaser yet... but OTP, the only production company filming at the time, released a sequence shot, and they put it on freeskier.com and it is redonkulous. Simon ruptured his spleen and fractured his pelvis... he is fine now, and skied at the Masters, he didnt compete, but he skied around.

yea when it was up at park city i thought that it would be impossible to overshoot because there was the landing then part of the run which was as long as the landing then it bowled out, but simon somehow managed to pull it off, park city makes crazy stuff.

it was about a 65 foot fall, but the catch is, it wasn't straight down either, he obviously had a hell of a lot of forward momentum, and when his edges dug in, that would cause his body to whip and smash the landing even harder. poor dude...

the reason he went so far is that it was a snow mobile tow in and he was guinee pigging it and had no idea how much speed he needed and then basically, 180 feet later, splat.

^ so people cant poach it. a jump like that is a liability, so if you have to be pulled in, you cant hit it unless you are supposed to. i honestly cant imagine how scary that would be, when i looked at that jump in pc, it was so ridulously huge

^ no it wasnt... it was like 80 feet to the knoll... dont get me wrong, it was big... but it looked like the funnest jump ever... speed wasnt an issue, the landing was super long... it was a perfect jump. it was crazy though, it was built seriously in the MIDDLE of the mountain, like it was visible from everywhere....

yes people hit it after him, dylan natale killed it. you will see the footage in "The Eleventh Hour".

and the reason simon when so big was because he got the craziest whip off of the tow rope. just a freek accident

i was there that day im pretty sure i saw the helicopter that medivaced him. Im pissed i didnt go up and watch but i didnty really know what was going on. The picture dosent relly do any justice to how tall the jump was.
