I heard that some higher ups thought that it could break easy and are trying to save money in the form of warrenty repairs.

the pivot was too heavy and expensive for the average consumer. they didnt have aloptta warrantee issues, but the did have alot of lawsuits because cause they ddint release according to their din setting. din is set up in newton meters so a din of 5 is supposed to realease at 50 newtonmeters. if the pull was from the back of the ski it would be fine but right behind the binding it took 250 newton meters so the equivilent of a din of 25! alotta ppl were breakin themselves then suing.
they stopped making the pivot binding? that was the sickest binding ever. that sucks. i have used rossi or look pivots for the last 4 years and they work super good, except the thing that holds the brake in breaks.
