Alright it seams to be a battle between the 2 new companies.. 4frnt and armada.. which is really better.. what are the bad and good sides of both.... what one is the wiser investment... has anyone riden both? Anyone get answers?
4frnts are stiffer (im only talking msps, cause why would you buy stls?) and I dunno they seem better ski wise. However, I see alot of them seem to be breaking (including mine). For this reason, I dont know.
no. armada's are like so much cooler. so they are better

Hey, peep this, i rode ARV 185s for half the season then sold themand bought MSP 187s. The ARVs are the sickest most fun skis i've ever been on, they have a ton of pop and stomp everything, the only downsides are a super thin base (so much as touch a rock and you're reppin' coreshot steeze) and they were a little too soft for really blasting through stuff for big Mountain.
The MSPs are flat out the sex, huge, light, and stiff. But at the same time they kill it in the park and on rails, don't even feel that heavy in the air, and their bases are practically indestructable...first day out on them, i took a sketchy traverse around a blind curve and carved up too high, riding right over about fifteen feet of jagged rocks. When i looked at my skis at the end of the day, all they had were superficial scratches that the next waxing completely covered. So basically i like MSPs more.
If you want a quick fun ultimate go everywhere ski, ARV. If you want a stiffer durable pow ski that also rips park, MSP 187.

i have msp's...and they got DESTROYED maybe they were just a defective pair..but it sucked. they ski super good tho. i don't know. if i cant get warranty for my msp's i think im gonna give the AR5's a try for next season.
Did you really need to whore yourself out twice in one thread? I have nothing against you for liking them, but once in every 4frnt thread is enough... you should be getting paid for this or something.
I'm an Armada man myself, but each has its virtues I suppose. MSPs seem like insanely durable skis for most people, although some (a minority?) have problems with them completely falling apart. People probably know my opinion on the STLs so I don't need to repeat that.
Personally, I agree with Skimack about the ARV being the ultimate in a one-ski-quiver; it goes everywhere well and it's pretty damn light, too. The bases are a bit thin, though, I guess. Still, seems like 9/10 people including myself who have skiied a pair of Armadas (especially the fatties) don't ever want to go back.
i got my 185 arvs and i love them, such a fun ski to ride. i love the flex, i love the pop, i love crusin on them, i ride them in the park just fine. I've also ridden the ar5 and they were so fucking fun as well. i really like the armadas, i've never ridden a pair of 4frnts.
