I live in the Midwest and we usually can't ski til after the Turkey is cut (Thanksgiving) since we don't get much snow. i go out west often, but i want to train hard when there isn't any snow here, what the best way? I also have skates if anyone has any good ideas with those. Thanks!!

quad work, running, and tramps. aerobic activity is key cause if you don't live out here you probably aren't used to the altitude and you'll be sucking wind by your second run.

Run Stairs, Hills, Stadiums or whatever is on an incline. Squats and legpress is good too.

Do jumpy excercieses for your agility. Like build/find a box 12-18' high, and jump on and off of it like your're skiing. Also jumping in a + shape 'front, center, right center, back, center, left center' is good too.
