Lake Jumps or foam pits
I was thinkin about building a lake jump, or maybe a foam pit. How exactly do you get out of the lake? I mean someone could toss you a rope or something I guess. I have some dough I saved up and was thinkin about making one of those summer ski ramps and have the landing be a huge foam pit. 'Cause foam pits are HUGE in BMX right now, and they're pushing the sport. So why not in skiing?

Check it out, I built a water ramp this summer. www.fp32.com (go to the bottom of the page where it says 'water ramp pictures') the pics are on there. Its 115ft long and cost about $2500, and took me 4 months to build almost by myself. But we got some old astroturffy stuff from the local hill and we use about 30 feet of industrial rollers to get initial speed. Its alot of work to build one but its so worth it. The way ive landed on alot of the stuff so far probubly would have paralized me on snow.
damn bro, that water ramp looks so sick, i wish i had a lake and a hill near by, i would so build myself one of those

'Anyone got any hot sisters they wanna sell?'
Skiers will one day use foam pits...today seems like a nice day to start...
Yeah its not even my ramp technically i just built the thing, my friend joe(who's dad owns the farm) payed for it. But my friend knows Bo Bridges and he says we can probubly get a pic of it in freeskier magazine. But it's so worth it to build one, just find someone around you that has a lake, it took me like 5 months to find someone that would let me build it.
All you gotta do is find some kinda pier or ledge about 15 feet high and run real fast of it. Make sure your landing is water though before you jump, cuz it would suck if it was just ground . anyways just practice off axis spins and flips of of that. I learned alot of tricks this summer that I hope I can use on the hill. Its not as good as a ramp but it costs nothing at all, so go huck!
dude thats a sick ramp!!! im gonna make a ramp but into an above ground pool full of foam bricks. what do you think?
i say hurl, if you blow chunks and she comes back she's yours......sorry, that just reminded me of wayne's world

Yeah but the carpet never really worked very good, we had to keep it really wet and we had to keep putting soap on it. Now we've got 30ft of industrial rollers and an astroturffy stuff on it that we got from the local ski hill.
I would do a lake jump. Foam isn't totally safe. I would much rather land on my head in water and get a little slap than land on my head in a foam pit. Also your foam pit would have to be indoors, so you would need a big empty space...with a roof. The lake would be a much better set up.
Dude, that ramp is sick. How far out into the lake does it go? Me and Madd_trixx are thinkin of settin' up a rail in his yard next summer. Any ideas on stuff to use?
i did it this year. build a wood kicker then for the approach get a long piece of carpet and tun it upside down it worked like a charm
thats real perdy

Yeah i made a summer rail this year, i just stole a rail from a shopping cart coral and got some snow from the local skating rink and put it on my skateboard launch box. It work real good
Hey this water ramp really looks like a lot of fun. Did you just swim out with the skis on? Your boots still work this winter?
No Means No
yeah you can just swim out. you just do a backscratcher in the water and you can swim out pretty easy. And yeah your boots get wet in the winter anyway, water doesnt hurt them. But i just stole a pair from my friend haha.
I have always wanted to try is there anywhere where you can just go and watch?? and maybe try? in the west?
Get ready to get your ass kicked by a girl!

i wont drop out of high school for skiing, mom
