I am looking into getting a new jacket and pants this year and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions. Can't be too expensive though, I've been thinking the Northface XLR8R with Oakley lab pants.

Dude, I think that the xlr8r is a product of Rotor-sports, not north face. I have rotor sports stuff and it is wicked sick. Comfortable and hella waterproof.
Even though the ain't skiing, Burton makes a hella nice jacket and ity's totally skiing friendly. Also i like those north face jackets with the hydravent technology.

I second truk's opinion...Burton makes the shit! Some of it can be expensive, but also not...it looks sick as shit too and is made really well.
