Would völkl v-legend good ski for me? I ski 60 % park and pipe, 10 % pow and 30 % something else. Im 5'9', 145 lbs so would 178 cm be right size? Or should I think ssome else ski?
hey dude, im skiin the volkl v's , im 5 10, 135lbs, i have the 168s, and they feel pretty tite
i think that 178 is too long to ski the park with, but nice for rails
178 is deff. not too long for a park ski and they should work good for you, go for em...... i hear they're suppose to be really sick this year
I got them and they are well nice
But as for length, i'd go with the 168 - that what i got, and i weigh only like 5lbs more than you, cos they are stiffer than a lot of the other twins out there
just depends if you are gonna get bigger anytime soon or not and what length you prefer to have...
I can almost afford to move up to the new 1080's. BUT first I must sell my old gear.
***********USED FOR ONLY ONESEASON***************
(I babied them too)
'01 720's. mint condition.
'02 ATOMIC BINDINGS (these were $290 new)
SANMARCO SKI BOOTS. Everything's set up and fitted.
$500 or best offer (remember, that's canadian, and they have only been used one season).
Im willing to sell with out the boots as well (for around $400).
GREAT for your first twintip! or if you already have better, all set up for destroying on urban jibs!
U might like these skis. I did, they were really fun. I learned how to spin my first 540's and 720's with these skis. They're 170's. and I'm 5' 7 1/2' and I weigh 130 lbs. The skis felt a little heavy for me (probably the bindings which are sweet! they've got a no tools required, on mountain, quick adjustment that moves your binding further up or down the ski from its original mounting position). Its gonna be hard to part with these skis, but the 1080's are just so damb fine lookin'. Either way, if you're interested, reply, message me, etc.
my coach is like 5'5' or something rediculously short, and he rides the 178 legends fine...they're isn;t a difference between last years and next years, just so you know....and if you like a softer ski, look at the expressions,or if you want a fatter ski, look at the v-pros
