yah booster straps work well or if u have a normal strap, do it up tight underneath the plastic part, it helps alot

I think anyone with a name knocking boarders is worthless. But yea straps help i personally dont use them but i heard they do!

In my 13 years of skiing, this being my second park skiing, i don't think i have ever experienced this shin-bang. Can someone explain what causes it?

shinbang at it's best feels like slamming your shins into the metal bar on the trampoline. At worse, you can hardly walk for a week. The year before last my shinbang was so bad that I had to step it down a little bit last year so I could walk during the week. It's not an impact injury. Landing foreward on your shins wont do anything. Landing backseat puts mad stress on your shin bones and results in severe pain that in my experience hurts worse than a broken thumb and wrist.

i've got them soloman 1080 boots, and i don't get shin-bang very much.. i don't go very big though.

is there a direct correlation between how hard your thrown down and how hard shin-bang bangs?

tighten your boots up so that when your flexing into them there is no gap behind your calf. that gap is what creates shinbang, thats why a boster strap helps because your all sissy's an cannot buckle your boots tight enough.

even if u landing strong, not backseat, off huge jumps onto solid landing ur gonna get shin bang sooner or later, but shin bang is caused from hitting ur shins into the front of the boot, even if u do it up tight there is still a gap, and booster straps help, but if ur landing in the sweet spot then u should be good, also landing switch is good cause u dont get shin bang

after 17 years of skiing, this is the first that i've experienced severe shin bang. I bought 1080's this year too, which kinda bothers me. But i know it's because i've been landing backseat a lot. It kills, just gotta buckle up tighter and fix up my landings.
