It was hard not to shed a tear watching this after the events of today. J.P simply showed how well rounded of a skier he was in this part. From flairs in the halfpipe, from some of the earliest urban rails, and of course back country lines and booters, J.P was the boss as proved completing the loop. My thoughts and condolences to his friends and family. Here is a small piece of his legacy.

A Punctuation? started life as I began to make my way deeper into my 30s. At first, it was an ambitious plan to make one last video part. With my best skiing days firmly behind me, I set out to film a last 'proper' part with my much younger, much better at skiing, friend Marinho Meyer. The goal was to stack street, backcountry, and park shots, mostly for myself as a keepsake, but also to finally work together on something more substantial too.
Then the pandemic hit, I blew my knee skiing flat pow... and the project fell by the wayside for obvious reasons. I don't think I'm going to be jumping back on the filming horse anytime soon, but these are the couple of shots we stacked before things went pear-shaped, along with other random clips from the seasons since I last put together an edit. It's definitely not what I hoped for but it's what it is.
Part of me wants to keep going, but the older, wiser (?) part thinks it's probably the end of this road. 'A punctuation?' Well, partly it's a nod to the last cut I made, to perhaps my favorite ever quote from an NS article, but also, maybe this will be the last ski edit I put together. There's always a question mark over that though because it's so damn fun to get clipped.

If you didn't get enough from Burger Time... then you will need to check out the highly anticipated 2nd production from Mercon Industries that was a 2 year project. Back at it with more insane carnage and up close broken bones, blood, shit and puke we took it to another level once again when we teamed up with magical creatures like Falcor from The Never Ending Story and drank 40oz with him! We also got to see Greg Tuffelmyer as he lurked though the windows of his gilrfriends pillow fights! I mean shit, who doesn't like boobs right! So enjoy The Guatemalan Persuader with once again some of the best skiing, drinking, shitting, puking, snowmobiling and whatever else happened. This movie is just pure awesomeness!!! Shit just doesn't happen like this anymore! If it did, no one would be sponsored because big companies are pussies and scared to let there athletes be there own person! Fuck all that shit, have fun, shred and ski with your friends! Because it could all be gone tomorrow as we all know! who knows... there might be a 3rd movie in the works!

Growing up skiing Mt Bachelor there was always a heavy park skiing scene of riders focused more on creativity and style. This has greatly impacted my outlook on skiing and the approach to having fun, on or off the camera on skis. After an extended hiatus, I am extremely excited to see Chirs back on skis and riding harder than ever.
It truly is just gettin good out there.
The sun made a rare appearance in Washington and Snoqualmie's park found itself full of slush, good friends, and exciting skiing. Here is a short edit filmed over three warm days in March.
