European Freeski Open Laax 2010

The European Freeski Open in LAAX, Switzerland, the most prestigious freeski event in the Alps, could unfortunately not crown the new halfpipe and slopestyle champions 2010. Due to the weather conditions up on Crap Sogn Gion mountain (2220 m) the halfpipe contest had to be cancelled. The strong winds would not allow for the running of a safe competition as the risk of an accident for one of the 48 men and 12 women was too high. The world’s top riders as well as the qualified amateur skiers, who were here to compete in the 5th edition of the European Freeski Open in LAAX, fully agreed with the decision of the organizer and will return in 2011.

First Winter X Games Europe in Tignes

3 days of competition, 66 200 spectators: no doubt, this very first edition of Winter X Games Europe in Tignes was a real success! Thousands of freestyle fans came over to cheer their champions along the Slopestyle course and on the SuperPipe’s copping. Everybody agrees: “it was huge”, “spectacular”, “never seen this before in Europe”.

Austrian Freeski Open 2010 - Moments

It was the show we have all expected! The Austrian Freeski Open finals went down under limited conditions as the wind was still too strong to get enough speed for all obstacles. In the end it was Jossi Wells who deserved the victory with a perfect and innovative run!

SWISS FREESKI OPEN DAVOS 2011

We had a terrific event in Davos with many of the best Swiss riders, brilliant weather, a tough competition, incredible action (as you will see in the edit) and some happy campers in the end. Looking forward to seeing you at the next Swiss Freeski Open, which takes place on March 13 in G’wood aka Grindelwald.
