2019 Switch Designs Ski Gear
After being dissatisfied with the ski boot bags on the market, Switch Designs founder James Poss took his Business Degree, design experience, and passion for skiing into his own hands. Although he plans to expand into a full luggage line, he first created the Switch ski boot bag to change the way we transport our ski gear.
James commented on his inspiration for creating a new ski boot bag, “In addition to a tired, retro-in-a-bad-way aesthetic, I saw two major functional flaws in traditional ski boot bags: Most boot + gear bags on the market work only as a backpack OR as a wheeled suitcase-style bag, and are very cumbersome to carry any other way, limiting flexibility in pairing with other luggage. These ski boot bags are also bulky in all dimensions, resulting in awkward packing constraints and storage problems at home and on the go.”
Switch’s ski boot bag solves both issues with its patent-pending transformational design, offering equal comfort both as a backpack and in its slim “tote bag” configuration.
