Iberg makes the best movies around. Theres never been a time yet where I've thought that maybe Royalty won't be my favorite ski movie of all time, that time may have just come. Possibly soon to be replaced with IDEA. I'll have to watch it a few dozen more times to decide something like that though. The bottom line is, this movie is the really really good, go buy it right now.

        WITHOUT QUESTION Worth the money.

This movie is so fucking good. I don't even know where to begin. This movie is so awesome in so many ways that I can only mention a few of them without writing a novel. So, a few general observations:

1.) Completely original soundtrack. Has that ever been done for any ski or snowboard film, ever? Sick. When I heard it was going to be all produced for the movie I was totally skeptical thinking the quality would not be on point or whatever. Totally worked out really well. Flow was like phosphorous.

2.) Switch landings. They're cool. Switch landings off huge BC booters and cliffs are a lot fucking cooler. You all know it, I don't need to remind you. But IDEA wants to remind you how cool they are. Pep does some absolutely insanely huge zero spins that had my jaw dropped to the ground. The Oregon gap segment (I think it was Oregon) is absolutely mind blowing. Switch 3 over that gap? Are you shitting me? I will never forget that shot.

3.) Washington pow segment. Beyond epic. The right place at the right time. Every skiers dream. Words are unnecessary.

4.) Progression of the 3 55-gallon oil drum jib is dope. The sequence of it being hit in the pipe is so ill.

5.) Last shot of the movie. First hit. The tits. One of the most memorable shots of any movie ever.

6.) Andy Mahre is my new hero. I've been waiting for someone to do a dope switch cork 3 forever. You win! So fresh I cannot even describe. The shot is perfect as well. I have watched this over and over more times than I can count.

7.) No matter how much your HDV camera looks like film, its NOT 16MM.
