The Smith Holt is a decent helmet. It isn't marketed to those who want ultimate helmet performance, because that isn't what it offers. The Holt is a $60 helmet that protects your head, and does a good job.

The two things I would point out before buying is the size and durability factors. The helmet is very large; when I bought the size that fit me it extends far past my head, and makes your head seem overly enlarged. Not the most stylish of helmets. I haven't actually broke my Holt, but it did not take long for the earpads to rip off, which were very annoying to try to fix.

If you are looking for a helmet that does its job and is relatively comfortable, the Holt is a good choice for the money. If you value style and durability, maybe take things a different direction.
