The K2 Thrive is a good baseline helmet. It's clean design combined with the different padding options makes a it good pick for a helmet. I'm not a brimmed helmet kind of person, so that put me off, but I know some people are into brims so I won't take away credit for that. The location of vents is great though, none on the top means no snow/rain coming directly into the helmet. This has become my new snowmaking helmet keeping my head warm and dry under the guns.
- Tons of padding options (adjustable "hat" with ear flaps or standard pads)
- Good goggle clip
- Simple, clean look
- Thin dense foam, taking away from safety aspects
- Kind of a big looking helmet
