At 38L it has more than enough room for big day trips in the backcountry. This is by far one of the best backpacks I have put on my back and absolutely love it. Last year I did a 4 night/5 day trip at a backcountry lodge and managed to fit everything I needed (food, sleeping bag, camping stove, etc..., plus all my touring gear) in the pack (with a few bulky items strapped to the outside). A close to the body fit so you don't really notice the pack while skiing down (I have had issues doing tricks while skiing with certain packs due to their bulky feeling, but not with the Kode).

Overall a well thought out, great design for a touring pack.
