The Rossignol FKS is a tried and true binding design. Built with a turntable heel allowing more elasticity and a smoother release, it keeps your boot in when you want it in and releases when you want as well. The full metal design was built to last, not fall apart. While the brake location (under the heel piece itself), helps prevent them from coming off the binding giving you a better sense of security (cause there's no worse feeling than seeing your ski rocket down the hill while holding your brake in your hand). It's a bit heavier than the average binding, but that's because of it's solid metal design. The FKS is the only binding you'll find on my skis because they simply work and can be trusted.
