Overall this seems like a good setup and I did use it for a full season, but in the end the weight and bulk killed the MFD for me and everybody else. Great on paper but to little, too late. I updated this review in 2014 (and deleted everything else I wrote) and if you are still looking at this as a viable setup, think again. Go find something else. Marker touring bindings (Tour, Baron, Duke) are not great options but anything is better than these.
If you really want to get serious about touring, get tech binders. They may not be perfect but they are miles ahead of any framed touring binding in the backcountry, sometimes literally.
