I love this backpack. It can hold all of my gear for a day trip and more. The avalung adds a cool feature to it, I hope I never have to actually use it though. All in all a great purchase.
Performance
I love this backpack for my everyday ski bag. It can hold all of my stuff, a shovel and probe, coat, lunch with a lot of space left over. I have never used the avalung (I haven't been in an actual slide with it) but I could see that it could possibly save your life if you could get a good bite on it. It always makes me feel safer to have it in when I am going over questionable snowpack. It holds skis great.
Design
It feels nice, and is really light. Seems lighter then my Dakine Heli Pro. It has a big frame which makes it easy to ski with. It has two large pockets, with the bigger pocket having a sleeve and an inner keys and pass pocket. Something I would like to see on it is more external pockets to hold stuff in. The straps are good, they could be a little more comfortable.
Value
I got it for free, so it was awesome. I am not sure how much it retails for.
