FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…

WORLD PREMIERE OF MATCHSTICK PRODUCTIONS’ “SEVEN SUNNY DAYS” SEPTEMBER 14

Free showing in Whistler Blackcomb’s Skiers Plaza brings powder to the people

WHISTLER, BC, September 11, 2007 –Matchstick Productions will bring powder to the people with the world premiere of their latest ski movie, “Seven Sunny Days – Stories From a Long Winter,” this Friday September 14. After two years of selling out the ticketed event at Whistler Blackcomb’s Roundhouse Lodge the boys have decided to bring the party back to the valley with a free outdoor showing in Skier’s Plaza at the base of Whistler Mountain.

“We wanted to do this free show because Whistler is our second home. The support we get from this community is incredible and we wanted to screen the movie to as many people as possible,” says Steve Reska, Matchstick Productions Tour Director and Producer. “Every year we have to outdo ourselves and this year we are going to blow people’s minds. From wingsuit flying in Norway and a private heli in Braelorn, BC’s most hallowed backcountry; to a perfect sunset session on a jump designed by Whistler Blackcomb’s groomers and Jon Olsson, this movie will not disappoint.”

The event will open to the public on Friday at 8pm and those that get there early can nab a seat since there will be seating in Skiers Plaza for up to 450 people. Two giant screens will project the movie in true HD format and the Official VIP Afterparty is being held at the GLC. The DJ for the night is “Peanut Butter Wolf” – from San Jose, California, associated with Planet Asia, Madlib & J Rocc.
