WHISTLER BLACKCOMB ANNOUNCES NEW INDUSTRY, FILM AND COMMUNICATIONS SUPERVISOR

Chris McLeod to bring strong industry relationships and knowledge to the position

WHISTLER, BC, July 15, 2011 – Chris McLeod has been named Whistler Blackcomb’s new Industry, Film and Communications Supervisor. Chris assumed the role on July 12, 2011.

“We’re very excited to have Chris on the team” says Tabetha Boot, Whistler Blackcomb’s Public Relations and Communications Manager. “We are confident in his ability to make a seamless transition from where Ryan Proctor left off, providing a great, mutually beneficial connection between the ski, snowboard and bike Industry and Whistler Blackcomb.”

Chris has been employed with Whistler Blackcomb since 2003, spending the past three years working on the sales team in the role of Youth Business Developer. Chris holds a Bachelor of Communications Degree specializing in Public Relations, and has extensive knowledge of Whistler Blackcomb.

Chris will be Whistler Blackcomb’s Public Relations point person for all Ski, Snowboard, and Mountain Bike Industry Relations, along with supervising Whistler Blackcomb’s operations and snow communications, and overseeing all commercial filming inquiries.
