As Spring rolls around it calls for park sessions and slush booters. This year it also luckily calls for some new kids on the block. The last couple of days we have been fortunate enough to spend each day with a couple of new skiers. On the first of these two days i meet up with Jason Arens and Dylan Curry bright and early. Unfortunately Mother Nature was not giving us the best film weather. Regardless we still headed over to the Pro line jumps to get a couple of shots (Andy Woltering joined us this day as well).

Jason Arens throwing a smooth switch 7.
Dylan suffered a serious head injury earlier this year, but is still able to throw sweet change ups like this 360 one.
Jason and Dylan ski away as we call it a day...After Jason hit his head pretty hard and the wind began to pick up we called it a day. We will definitely have multiple plans to continue to film with Jason and Dylan.Just a few short days later i headed back to Boreal with the Moment Skis team for a shoot. There i met up with noob Jared Dalen and some of the Moment Skis guys. After getting some good shots on the tree jib (keep in touch with the Moment updates for more on this day) we headed over the the shed gap. Unfortunately the snow was too slow to throw down on this jump. Jared Dalen, Andy McDowell, KC Deane, and Jamie all decked it. After KC barely cleared the knuckle from starting at the top of the lift we ended the session. We headed over to the big jumps and got some sick shots of Jared and Jamie...
Uhhh, i still cant figure out what Jared was doing here...
Jared Ends his day by throwing a sweet smooth Rodeo!Although it was already 4 in the afternoon our day was not done yet at boreal. We stayed and sessioned a couple of rails. I did not really know this Jamie figure, but i was quite pleased that i stuck around to film him destroy the S rail. He threw some pretzel combos on it that impressed me :).
Jamie threw this little 270 onto the snowboarder style down bar.
Jamie destroyed this S Rail, but Im going to leave his pretzel combo to be determined later...That was the end of our full day at boreal with lots of shots not shown; however, i was very pleased with the new guys i met :).Jared Dalen has been a skier I have had my eyes on for a while. I was fortunate enough to film one day with him... it was a scary one at that...
Going Huge on Half Dome (If it looks familiar Tanner calls it "I-80 Jump"). First Hit...
The landing did not go so well...
And it got even worse a half second after...
That was one deep avalanche...Fortunately KC Deane came to the rescue and Jared was ok after the crash and nearly being burried alive in the avalanche. He is obviously still skiing and doing well. If his name sounds familiar to you, then you might be thinking of the show Scarred. For more information on our shoot at boreal with the Moment team keep checking NS for their updates. Keep checking our News Updates as we should have another "Noobs" news update coming within the next week. This time it will be about a kid that is named after a sweetener, and another that i happened to get confused with another Zach earlier this year in my JPI edit. Take It easy Everyone.
