The stoke was high and the high were stoked at the UBC Ski and Board Club’s fifth annual rail jam last Friday in Vancouver, BC. An upgraded setup from the previous years anda plethora of free raffles and swag drew a mob of athletes and spectators from Whistler, Vancouver and the surrounding areas.

The event was held in a jam format, with a handful of the top skiers and riders moving on to the finals, and all proceeds from the day were donated to Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports, a non-profit organization that runs skiing and snowboarding programs for persons with a disability. Between the rail jam and the Level 1 premiere held that night, the UBC Ski and Board Club was able to raise $500 for VASS.

The setup for the day, with Jordan Innes pressing his way to 1st place.

This homey probably had some fun.

Harry Rose holding it down for the snowboarders.

The ever-so-optimal spectator deck.

Newschool jibbin’, yo.

At the end of the day, Jordan Innes had thrown down some savage tricks and took home a fresh pair of Surface Double Times, while on the snowboard side of things, Jordan Bell walked away with a DC board from Showcase Snowboards.

Big thanks to all our sponsors and to everyone who helped put this jam on!
