Red Bull Media House is proud to release the trailer for their upcoming web series, “The Faces of Dav,” an eight episode video series that reveals the many facets of skier Chris Davenport. The trailer can be viewed now at http://www.redbull.com/us/en/adventure/video-series/1331680620076/the-faces-of-dav and will be followed by the first episode debuting on October 9.

“This is the biggest film project I’ve done in years,” Davenport says. “The eight episodes will all be unique and will dive into my mind and my world.”

Chris Davenport, 43, is well known as one of the world’s most accomplished big-mountain skiers, a two-time World Extreme Skiing Champion and a pioneer in ski mountaineering. But there are sides of Davenport that are not as well known—his role as a father to three boys, his skills as a product designer and mountain guide—and “The Faces of Dav” offers a first-time glimpse into the private life of this legend-in-the-making.

The episodes cover Davenport’s career and life story in eight parts: The Engineer, The Minimalist, The Father, The Mountaineer, The Explorer, The Adventurer, The Guide, and The Legend. Through these roles, Davenport is revealed as more than just one of the world’s best skiers. The viewer is taken behind the scenes of Davenport’s evolution in the ski industry, from athlete to innovator to icon, a progression that has given him two decades of longevity in a sport that often spits athletes out in a few short years.

“Since I was a little kid, I’ve loved skiing so much, I wanted to be involved in every aspect of it,” Davenport says. “This video series isn’t just ski action, it’s a documentary about my life. We were able to take a step back and tell more of my story. It’s personal and it gave me a chance to share who I really am.”

The show digs deep into his personality and his legacy, discovering his life’s balance between career and family. One episode shows Davenport at home in Aspen, Colorado, cheering on the sidelines of his kids’ ski races. Another episode follows him to a ski boot factory in Italy and the ski company he co-owns in Austria, where he offers input on product design, then tests the gear in a couloir in the Italian Dolomites. The final episode, The Legend, features classic archival footage of Davenport’s long and storied career.

Filming for this Red Bull Media House original series started last winter and took place in locations including Aspen, Colorado; Spitsbergen, Norway; and Bella Coola, BC. The show will air every two weeks from October through January and will be broadcast on RedBull TV, Redbull.com, and the Red Bull YouTube channel.
