One of the more controversial things to have happened in the history of 'freeskiing' was FIS joining the sport. There had been official world cups in halfpipe the previous season, but with the Olympics now on the horizon, slopestyle too was inducted to the FIS freestyle circuit. And so, the seemingly never-ending battle for FIS points began on 25th February in Jyväskylä, Finland. Watch the full event from that day to see just how different slopestyle looked back then.
