It is under a radiant sun and a little snowstorm that occurred the 9th edition of our legendary early season rail-jam at Mont-Orford. December 20th, Orford Freeriders threw the ball of the Freestyle competitions season by welcoming more than 100 skiers and riders in the Snowpark Mount Orford.

Today's Park created a course especially for the occasion, made up of six rails and box for all tastes and sizes; Elbow rail, Down flat down, Pine down street and many others. The day started with fifty young amateur skiers and snowboarders motivated to impress the judges.

In the afternoon, we cleared the set-up for the ladies and the semi-pro riders. For the occasion we improvised a new module in the center of the course. The competitors had a new option; jump over the three letters O.F.R. and try to land on the "down rail," a gap of about 30 feet.

More than $5000 of gear were given to the winners, $ 500 cash were planned for the best figures of the day. A young and promising Quebec champion was among us: Anouk Purnelle-Faniel who had recently qualified in final of the recent Dew Tour in Breckenridge.
