and have announced that they are officially participating in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month (LSSM) in January by offering an incentive for those who take a lesson from a professional instructor anytime during the month. The two retail Web sites will offer to individuals who take a lesson a gift card good for up to $50 based on the cost of the lesson. They join ski and snowboard areas in 34 states that are participating in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month.

Taking a lesson is a great way for lifetime skiers and snowboarders to sharpen their skills or challenge themselves in new ways,” he added.

Individuals who participate in LSSM by taking a lesson from a professional instructor may send a copy of their receipt to for ski lessons and for snowboard lessons.

Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month is an industry-wide initiative organized by the National Ski Areas Association, the Professional Ski Instructors of America-American/Association of Snowboard Instructors, the National Ski Patrol, SnowSports Industries America, numerous state and regional resort associations, industry partners and the snow sports media.
