Skis.com and Snowboards.net have announced that they are officially participating in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month (LSSM) in January by offering an incentive for those who take a lesson from a professional instructor anytime during the month. The two retail Web sites will offer to individuals who take a lesson a gift card good for up to $50 based on the cost of the lesson. They join ski and snowboard areas in 34 states that are participating in Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month.

“Skiing and snowboarding are fun and exciting activities, said Steve Kovitz, CEO and president of Skis.com and Snowboarding.net.  “We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity especially if they are new to the slopes. Taking a lesson is a great way for lifetime skiers and snowboarders to sharpen their skills or challenge themselves in new ways,” he added.

Individuals who participate in LSSM by taking a lesson from a professional instructor may send a copy of their receipt to learntoski@skis.com for ski lessons and learntosnowboard@snowboards.net for snowboard lessons.

Learn to Ski & Snowboard Month is an industry-wide initiative organized by the National Ski Areas Association, the Professional Ski Instructors of America-American/Association of Snowboard Instructors, the National Ski Patrol, SnowSports Industries America, numerous state and regional resort associations, industry partners and the snow sports media.
