Hello friends and fellow shredders.

It's been a busy first part of the season for me. I just moved back down to Salt Lake for the winter after banging out another semester of College up at Montana State in Bozeman, where I am oh-so-close to finishing and getting that degree!

While in Montana I enjoyed some great snow early season, and got after a lot of urban jibbing and hiking for turns up at Bridger Bowl.  Big Sky also opened with a decent amount of snow on Turkey Day, it's always nice to slash some pow turns on opening day!  Unfortunately on an urban handrail trip in December I took a spill down some stars and broke my wrist (for the 3rd time in my life) but it’s a very minor injury and has not held me back in the slightest.

After finishing finals I packed up and rolled home to Sun Valley, Idaho for Christmas with the family and some awesome skiing on the home turf.  It was a glorious surprise to arrive home to a brand new terrain park (Sun Valley has never had a full blown park, although they've had a world class half-pipe for the last few years).  The new park had a truly beautiful jump line and a smooth rail section to round it out.  Top to bottom, it is an extremely fun park and I'm stoked the kids in Sun Valley now have such a sick facility at their disposal.

After a week of relaxing at home and beating myself up on my first park jumps of the season, I moved down to Salt Lake City, where I immediately started working at Alta a couple days a week, which comes with the perk of a free seasons pass.  I now reside at the Saga Outerwear headquarters, which allows me to work closely with my friends Austin and Jordan who run the company and pump out media content on a daily basis.

The majority of my season will be spent here in Utah, filming with my homies and creating another segment with 4bi9 Media. My routine consists of either skiing laps at Alta, or hiking and exploring the vast, easy-access backcountry of Little Cottonwood Canyon.  Already in the two weeks since my arrival we've enjoyed some fun warm-up booter sessions in Grizzly Gulch, and the last few days have been spent under sunny skies at Park City, having a ton of fun hot-lapping their flawless park and working on some new tricks!  I'll most likely be making a trip or two to Idaho, Montana, and Washington to chase freshies and experience a change of scenery.  I'm hungry to hit as many bc booters as humanly possible this year.  I have big ambitions to try to film a bit with my friend Ross Reid for some PoorBoyz material, and hopefully hit a couple Booters with friend and fellow Smith Optics slayer Tim Durtschi, which would be fulfilling my utmost goals for the season.

Big thanks to Smith Optics and everaone else who supports me!  Happy shredding, see you on the slopes.
