Good Day Newschoolers! If you're like most people, you spent last Friday night with good friends and family, bidding farewell to 2010 and welcoming 2011 with a celebratory ritual of some kind.Champagne, resolutions, kisses, countdowns, New YearsEve is like a restart button for most of the world. It's a chance to turn the page and begin a new chapter. Something that many people forget, however, is that everysingle day can be an opportunity to change - to reinvent, to push the restart button. Ever since I realized this, my New Years Celebrations havechanged a bit.Instead of resolving to stop doing something or to changemy ways, I use NYE as a time to reflect, to examine and appreciatethe people, places and experiences that have come into my lifethe past year, and to recognize and show gratitude for them all.I think about my accomplishments, challenges and victories, and how I've grown because of them. This brings a sense of clarity and closure to certain loops and allows for others to open wide. This video was sent in from Brian Curial, a Shaman loving Canuckfrom Alberta (along with a Killer testimonial!!) on New Year Eve.I had a different song lined up for today, but as soon as I openedBrian's email, I knew it was this song, that I would like to start the New Year off with.I've talked about Music being a Universal Language before, as is skiing. This video captures the shared passion brilliantly - people all around the world, connected by this strange, unforeseen, yet highly energetic force. Pretty sweet. Check it out:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us-TVg40ExM Plus, the song pays tribute to those who Stand By You. The people that we mustn't forget to thank and to showappreciation for. For without them, without you or me, we would be none.So here's to 2011 being the best year yet.Enjoy, AnneliseP.S. The whole Icelantic Crew is about to get their Ultimate Ski Fitness on. Interested?
