Molson Canadian Snow Jam to make annual stop in Calgary Tickets on sale Friday, June 28 Special “two for one� price of $19.99 from June 28 to 30 only! Back by popular demand, Molson Canadian Snow Jam will return to Calgary this summer for the fourth year in a row! The two-day event will blow into a new venue for 2002 – Calgary’s Millennium Park - on Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10, bringing with it a barrage of ramps, 150 tonnes of REAL snow, a huge crew of North America's top action sports athletes, and an insane mix of bands featuring Finger Eleven, The Headstones, Swollen Members, and much more. The two coolest days of summer will include snowboarders, freeskiers, BMX bikers, skateboarders and in-line riders competing on massive ramp structures, while the crowd rocks against a backdrop of leading edge live bands and DJ’s on the Molson Canadian Rocks Mainstage and the Matrix DJ Tower. The events will be rounded out with Playstation Village showcasing action sports displays, products and interactive games. Fans will get the chance to get up close and personal with athletes and bands at Solo Autograph Sessions throughout the two-day event. MOLSON CANADIAN ROCKS THE MAINSTAGE: A sensational line-up of live and recorded music will be showcased on the Molson Canadian Rocks Mainstage. Look for Finger Eleven, The Headstones, Swollen Members, Danko Jones, Strung Out, The Full Nine, Shocore, Moka Only, One 900 and more. In between bands, be sure to check-out the Matrix DJ Tower where the action will be supported by top DJ’s spinning throughout the two-day event including DJ Alliance - featuring DJ Kav and Maniac Maurice, with special appearances from MC Chatta-box. COOL ACTION SPORTS. HOT COMPETITION: At the soul of Molson Canadian Snow Jam, is the massive 60-foot high Extreme Sports Series Quarter-Pipe, which features over 150 tonnes of REAL SNOW. Watch for amazing hits and tricks from a pre-selected field of professional snowboarders and freeskiers. The Ripzone Snowboarding Competition presented by Swiss Army will be a weekend highlight. The McCain Rising Crust Vert Ramp is the identical ramp featured at World Cup Skateboard contests and will host both “Big Hit� and “Super Session� contests throughout the two-day event. Skateboard, BMX and in-line riders will soar over 12-feet out of the ramp. The Mountain Dew Code Red Street Course for BMX riding, skateboarding and in-line skating, will feature a variety of ramps, banks, rails and hits, to showcase the hottest street style action – be sure to catch the Airwalk Skateboarding Competition. This Pro-invitational event has a total cash prizing of $60,000 per event and will be awarded to winners throughout the weekend.
