"We are definitely sad that he won't be able to be with us in the Super Bowl," Kemoeatu said, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "Definitely I feel bad for him. We just have to win it for him."

Pouncey started all 16 regular-season games for the Steelers this year, but suffered a high-ankle sprain during the team's AFC conference-title game win over the Jets. Pittsburgh held out hope that Pouncey would be able to go in Super Bowl XLV with nearly two weeks to recover -- and he still may -- but Kemoeatu said that the Steelers are preparing to play without him.

"We know how big this is for him and him not being able to play is definitely motivating for us to go out there and get that ring for him," Kemoeatu said.

If Pouncey is indeed out, Doug Legursky would inherit the starting center duties. Legursky filled in for Pouncey against the Jets -- he did a decent job, though he and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger botched a pair of snaps, including one in the Pittsburgh end zone that resulted in a safety.
