Last May, Faction wrapped up one of the best video series of recent years: We Are The Faction Collective. Perhaps it was their stacked team and insane tricks filling every episode that made these so special, but also notable was their unique offering of different locations and every type of skiing imaginable. From an urban trip in Estonia to park shoots in Colorado, touring through Argentina and the annual spring shoot in the alps. Faction checked off every type of freesking with their series.

We Are The Faction Collective kicked off with a park shoot at three Colorado stalwarts: Breckenridge, Copper, and Keystone. With guys like Candide Thovex, Tim McChesney, and Adam Delorme making an appearance, they made use of their stacked team and put out an insane edit right off the bat. The second episode of the first season showed the crew slaying everything from big backcountry lines and features in Jackson Hole, Chamonix, and Verbier, to an urban trip in Poland. Each season has wrapped up with a spring shoot in the Alps, and the first year produced arguably one of the greatest edits of all time from La Clusaz, France. See: Candide going huge, Delorme with the dreamiest butters, rock jibs, and honestly just bangers after bangers.

You can't have missed the Newschoolers forums going on about how 'stacked' the Faction team is, and these edits have really demonstrated that every single one of their riders has incredible talent. Season Two brings the crew on a trip through Montana finding dream pow and pillows, a street trip through Northern Europe, and the spring shoot took everyone out to Tignes, France. Again, three standout edits but for me, the highlight was the street shredding in Finland and Estonia. It's incredible that the guys managed to put together a street segment this good in just a couple of weeks.

Honorable Mention: The season two crash edit

The third and (sadly) final season kicked off on a road trip through Argentina, where Adam Delorme, Will Berman, and Tim McChesney travel around and sleep in a remodeled 1966 Mercedes Benz school bus. From incredible scenery to backcountry tours and booters, as well as even finding some pow, the episode looked like the trip of a lifetime. Episode two brought the team back to the parks of Colorado- hitting Breck and Keystone, and finally the last spring shoot in Verbier, Switzerland. It's hard to pick a highlight from these three but if pushed, it has to be the sense of the adventure that Argentina evoked, though Alex Hall's insane straight air from Verbier is an obligatory mention.

Honestly, there are few words to describe the unique series with and it's one of those things in skiing you should sit down and watch beginning to end if you haven't, because every minute of each episode is laced with hammers. Although everyone's favorite skier, Candide, is absent in the second two seasons, guys like Adam Delorme, Antti Ollila, Will Berman, Dan Hanka and Duncan Adams step up to the plate. Faction's first full movie, This Is Home, drops in fall and we can't wait to see what it brings. The location based previews suggest more of the same vibes from the webisodes, which can only be a good thing.
