For Olsson, who took X Games gold in Halfpipe exactly one week ago in Aspen, it was his second time on the podium this weekend at the U.S. Freeskiing Open after placing second last Friday in Slopestyle. Candide boosts a huge mute grab on his way to a 2nd place finish. France’s Candide Thovex came out boosting huge all day to take second place, and Canada’s David Crichton, who took third in Big Air last night, edged out Mammoth Mountain’s Braden Fujas for third place. Philou Poirier goes huge. Jackson Hole’s Jamie Sundberg successfully threw a 540 McTwist to take first in Women’s Halfpipe, while the usual suspects, Kristi Leskinen and Sarah Burke, finished second and third, respectively, to round out the final day of Open competition.
