December 8th at 12:39 p.m. I was officially done with the fall quarter at Lake Tahoe Community college. So naturally, my good friend Kyle ?the Body? Smaine and I decided to embark on a journey to Colorado. On the morning of December 9th our epic journey began. Along this 16 hour incredibly boring car ride, we managed to keep ourself occupied. We made a quick stop at a 7-11 just upon entering Nevada, were I decided to purchase an obscene amount of the worlds greatest candy, Hi-Chews, and Kyle decided it would be a good idea to steal a roll of toilet paper from the restroom. After staying the night in Salt Lake the second piece of the journey became a bit more interesting. I managed to put together the most healthy breakfast anyone could ever find, we took photos with a dead elk, and kyle got a speeding ticket (which he somehow associates with the elk...) And before crossing over the Boarder we had accumulated a total of 21 u-turns in the few hours we spent driving in the great state of Utah. We arrived to Colorado on the night of the 10th, and were both ecstatic to have finally made it. The next eleven days seemed to just fly by! We skied Breck and Keystone every day, Kyle competed in the Dew Tour Open Qualifiers and unfortunately did not advance in the competition (which he also blames on the elk...), got a lot of filming done for the upcoming Tall Treez movie. On our last day at Keystone, our close friend Jay Badgley offered to come out to Keystone and shoot some pictures. We had a great time and Jay got some really sweet shots. The next morning we packed up to venture back on another 16 hours in a car to get home in time for Christmas. Other than a brief stop in Wellington Utah for Kyle to pay his debt to society, the trip went smoothly and now stoked to be back in Tahoe for the holidays, but itching to get back out to Colorado...
