The 3rd annual International Freeskiing Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec is exactly two months away (September 17th-21st), so start getting stoked. Plans are currently in the works for this year's festival to be bigger and better than ever, and over the next few months we'll be keeping up-to-date on all the hype and what to expect at this year's event. So if you weren't already planning on heading out to Montreal for it...get on it!

In the meantime though, we have some very important news for all you amateur filmmakers out there. The AM category of IF3 is back, and anyone can submit their film for a chance to have it shown at the world's biggest freeskiing film festival.

Five films will be chosen by a top-secret judging panel and will not only have their films shown over the course of the weekend at the absolutely stunning Cinema Imperial, but they will also be eligible to take home some serious hardware in the AM category at the infamous Newschoolers Awards, which will take place on the Saturday night of the festival.

Here's a list of last year's winners...

Best AM Film: Slamina by 4bi9 Media

Best AM Cinematography & Best AM Soundtrack: Hat Trick by ESK Media

Best AM Editing: Outdoor Education by Voleurz

Best Male AM: Henrik Harlaut (accepted by the one and only Tanner Hall)
