Dew Tour day three can only be summed up as a banger!  The day started off with women’s halfpipe, where all the girls were pushing it hard.  Sarah Burke skied super well and landed in 1st place followed by Jen Hudak and Roz G.

Right after the women’s halfpipe was complete, there was a short warm up for men’s halfpipe then straight into the finals.  Everyone was killing it and taking their tricks as high as possible despite a smaller pipe than most have been training in.  The finals finished off with Jossi Wells in 1st, Simon Dumon in 2nd, and a much deserving Peter Olenick in 3rd.  There is no doubt that Pete will be turning heads again at the X-Games in a couple weeks.

While the men’s finals were going on in the halfpipe, the slope athletes were training before their qualifiers in the afternoon.  Qualifiers kicked off with a slight change in speed on the course and the first few athletes had some issues with going a little too big.  Jossi “I’m going to win everything” Wells laid down a flawless first run that put him straight into first place, followed by Alexis Godbout who stomped a super clean run, and TJ who put down his first run perfectly to round out the top three qualifying for finals.  From qualifiers, 9 people will move forward into the finals along with the 3 pre-qualified athletes who are Tom Wallisch, Sammy Carlson, and Andreas Hatveit.  The 9 who will be moving forward are:

Jossi Wells

Alexis Godbout

TJ Schiller

Phil Casabon

Mcrea Williams

Ian Cosco

Elias Ambuhl

Bobby Brown, And

Charles Gagnier
