In case you live in a cave and totally missed it, Breckenridge got slammed with the best single-day storm of the season and received a whopping 26 inches of powder on Monday night.  Hoards of front rangers crammed onto I-70 trying to get back home Monday afternoon and into the evening before the storm hit full force and the Eisenhower tunnel closed, resulting in some pretty lengthy drives.  But, for those lucky enough to stay in town, or in some cases those who tried to get out of town Tuesday morning but ran into a closed tunnel, it was some of the best Colorado skiing and boarding this year.  The face shots in the pics below are proof.

Also of note, testament to how varied weather conditions can be at seemingly close mountains, Vail received ten inches less ending up with 16 inches. And even more shocking, Beaver Creek and Keystone each only received 4 inches while poor Arapahoe Basin received none!  You know what that means?  Ullr lives!  A week long party in his honor at Breckenridge paid off!  So kudos to all of you in Breck who donned your Viking gear and got crazy in the parade… it worked!
