After a series of unlucky events, which included, Dylan Curry getting extremely sick after Vegas and Tyler Stripp cracking a couple of ribs a day before the Open, we finally got to Aspen with team ride Kolby Ward. On the first day of competition no one could of asked for any better weather. Blue Bird sky's, forty degree weather, and no winds made this picture perfect day a blast. The first competition of the open was pipe qualifiers. Although Kolby Ward is not a pipe skier, he still decided to give the half pipe a shot.

Kolby Ward boosting out of the pipeKolby went out and had some fun in pipe even though his real attention and training is directed to slope style, which is going down Saturday and Sunday. After filming and skiing some pipe, Kolby, Cameron, Gus Kenworthy, Justin Anderson, and I went up to the top to film some of the little park Buttermilk has set up.
