When it comes to paying skiers for their rail skills, we're all about it. As comps have gone more and more jump heavy, it's fucking refreshing when an event comes along with a big cash purse for the rail slayers and style masters out there. Skiers and snowboarders rejoice, the APIK season is coming!

The custom setup, designed and built by Today’s Park, will take pride of place in the heart of Celebration Square (Mississauga, ON) from February 7–9, 2025, for three days of action and celebration, where you’ll have the chance to grab a share of the cash prize pool of over CAD $100,000! In this first edition, both men and women will ride simultaneously, but with separate podiums.

There's two ways to get paid:

BEST TRICK

Earn cash every time you impress the judges

Open to all registered athletes

In the lower section of the course

Best trick ends as soon as the money runs out

Best trick: CAD 1000 to be split among all riders during the contest.

Best trick snowskate: CAD 1000 to be split among all riders, awarded at the end of the contest.

Each standout trick will earn $$$

The main competition format is the same for both disciplines (ski and snowboard). Participants will be judged based on the following criteria: style, difficulty, variety, originality, consistency, and use of the course, in addition to the specific format outlined below.

Maximum 40 athletes

2 heats of 20 athletes each

60-minute jam format per heat

3 runs of your choice will be judged

Runs scored out of 100 points

Only your best run counts

FINAL FORMAT

Top 16 men

Top 4 women (minimum)

1 heat of 20 athletes

60-minute jam format

Best tricks scored out of 100 points

Top 3 best tricks count

Total result scored out of 300 points
