Jake Lloyd - UK Sessions

by PlanksClothing
Jun 5th 2012 - 0 comments

Returning to the UK a few months back brings the start of indoor sessions.. Its always good to catch up with friends and hear what they have been up to over the winter.
I was invited by the guys at Unity-productions to do a private shoot at Castleford and Milton Keynes indoor slopes. The guys had spent some time building some decent features for the shoots at CAS. There were about 10 riders at both sessions hot lapping for a couple of hours all killing it with different styles. Look out for the shots in Rob Embling's, (unity-productions.co.uk) film dropping in October this year.

Hey ya,
last weekend i was part of the beyond grafity freestyle teambattle at the area 47 (ötztal-tyrol). It was an awesome contest we had to battle the red bull x-fighters, a group of cliffdivers with their star orlando duque, freestyle paraglider, trialbikers and stuntbikers.
We did some nice formations with 4 newschoolers and 4 oldschoolers on a waterrampwich was pretty cool, the crowds were definitly stocked about that. We got 4th cause we had no chance against the bikers and FMX riders with their machines :) But it doesn´t matter it was a nice day full of fun.
So check out the video.

California Republic

Hi everyone,
I was in Mammoth, California from May 1st to June 1st. I spend an amazing time there.
At the beginning the park was super cool with 4 big jumps and 15 rails, the kickers were really safe so I've put a lot of new tricks, I'm really happy about that.
2 weeks after the snow had begun to melt really fast so the park wasn't so cool, but still good to put some new tricks.
I've also met some really nice people and visit the Yosemite National park which is REALLY SICK !
Now I'll go to the beach in the South of France in June and ski on the Glacier of Tignes in July.

End of the Season

by PlanksClothing
May 30th 2012 - 0 comments

Its been as super rad year and I'm bummed to see it end. A lot of places in North America seemed to have a bad season but that defiantly wasn't BC, this year had to be just as good as last year if not better. It seems to always be snowing, the next day every bomb hole is filled in and good to go again. After another year of skiing at Revelstoke Mountain Resort I'm just starting to see how big the area really is and how much skiing is to be held. My only summer plans are to work and hopefully get to New Zealand in August to catch up on some much needed park skiing. Hope everyone enjoys their summer and to keep your mind on skiing till next year here is my season edit!

May at Timberline

May 21st 2012 - 0 comments

This May I came home to Oregon to meet up with Maurizio Von Flotow and friend from Hood River and with the help of some of our good friends and Hood River loc dogs, we came up with some very cool videos. We put them out during West Coast Sessions and since we weren't officiall "invited" we decided to call ourselves the "UnInvited" for fun. The videos ended up all being video of the day on NS, with the first being video of the week! Wahoo.
The third video titles "UnInvited II" should actually be III as it is on NS.
Here are the NSlinks:

Spring Sled Ski Misson

by PlanksClothing
May 19th 2012 - 0 comments

Its been a long and frustrating winter for me with injury problems, friends lost in the mountains and a major lack of time up in the hills. Until now.......
The end of spring is a late start to a winter season, but man does it feel good after all that waiting, rehab and false starts. Dave Treadway and I headed out from Pemberton on our sleds in search of good snow and places we hadnt seen, we found one but not the other! The warmth was too much and the melt freeze had set in, even protected north aspects wernt good. But travel was and so was the sunshine. Here's a few pics, video to come.
Great first and last sled misson of the year. Next stop Yukon Teritories to Alaskan Pan Handle via rivers and mountains on rafts and skis, this one is gonna get interesting......
