Chicks in Bikinis, Dudes in thongs. Can it get any better?
I was filming at Bear Mountain on Sunday, when I met Nick Westland. I asked if I could get some footage of him throwing down on the mountain. We took 3-4 runs together before he had to split at the end of the day. The snow was complete crap, but the sun was out. I got some quality shots in a short amount of time. Looking forward to filming with Nick again.
I had the chance to drive up to Big Bear and live in my car for 3 days during the annual Under Armour War of Rails competition. I jumped at the chance to be able to film this event. War of Rails invites professional free skiers from around the globe to compete in this contest. This event has become a one of a kind competition over the last 5 years. Although I tried to get access to film the event, it just so happened to be sponsored by Ion Cameras, so I had to do a lot of sneaking and hopping of fences in order to get the footage that I did. I got kicked out of multiple areas, but it was all worth it. The weather was pretty crappy, and the event had to be moved back a day because of it, but the riders still went hard.
